Every year the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance names its Best in Show and this year a 1934 Packard 1108 Twelve Dietrich Convertible Victoria took the crown. Land Rover is today unveiling a family of gently chiselled full-size 4x4s – think of it as Solihull’s answer to the changing zeitgeist and the next step in Land Rover’s greening of its range. The new Discovery gains a clean new diesel and can now claim a 30mpg average; there’s also a new interior and an exterior facelift – enough to warrant a new Discovery 4 badge. The big news under the bonnet of Discovery 4 is the arrival of the new Jaguar Land Rover 3.0-litre V6 diesel.
2013 Ford Kuga
The European version of the North American Escape – the 2013 Ford Kuga – has been revealed at the Geneva Motor Show. What’s to say about the 2013 Ford Kuga that we haven’t already said about the new North American Ford Escape? Not a lot is the truth, as apart from minor differences – lights and name, principally – the Kuga and Escape are one and the same in Ford’s ‘One Ford’ world.
